Located in Son Trach, Bo Trach, Quang Binh province, the distance from Hue to Phong Nha is about 220 km, approximately 3,5 hours – 4 hours of driving(non – stop).
Our car collects you at hotel in Hue center then move to Phong Nha. On the way, we make a quick stop(30 minutes) at La Vang Holly Land first. La Vang Holly Land can be considered as the place where keeps the soul of Virgin Mary, an important symbol in the Catholic Church representing protection and divine love of human.
Driving along the way, you will have chance to make a stop at Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River, a virtually border divides Vietnam into 2 parts : The North and the South at 17th parallel in Vietnam – American war. You will see 2 bridges, the newly built one,which is open to traffic, the unused Hien Luong bridge that run parallel to it. Until it was destroyed in 1967, the original Hien Luong bridge was painted half red and half yellow as the vivid divider that this was a physical and ideological boundary separating the two Vietnam. The reconstructed iron – girder bridge, now painted blue and yellow, officially reopened in 1975 as the reunification.
